The beach west of Roanoke Point in Riverhead, Long Island is magnificent - but in trouble. In this blog I document the good, the bad and the ugly.

low tide, 2 bags; mystery car
Northeast cold wind but very low tide so I shot a drone video along the beach leading up to the wrecks. I collected 2 bags of trash. There was a car without obvious occupants just beyond the far wrecks yesterday morning, close to the high water line, and no-one in sight for a mile. The same car was in the same position (and therefore even closer to the HWM) this morning, again with no sign of life (though yesterday I did observe people fishing near this car during the day. A mystery.
