Here's some of yesterday's trash. I couldn't photograph today's garbage because my phone went into the dreaded "bootloop" - basically a death spiral.

No Butts

There's an article in yesterday's NY Times about  beach trash which claims it's dominated by cigarette butts. But (no pun intended) I've never seen a butt in all the tons I've collected over the last  year. Maybe they are just too small or  otherwise inconspicuous. Most of the trash this morning was bits and pieces:

Running was much easier now the tide is lower at around 7.30 am, so I'm not forced into the maze of ruts that covers the upper beach.

 Yesterday I quickly filled this entire contractor-bagful

There were lots of balloons floating merrily long the  beach

and beer cans and bottles of course.

Very high tide again this morning, even worse running over the ruts to avoid the waves.
