back to reality

Clean beaches are lovely but very rare, and reflect a combination of natural luck and hard work. This morning's walk brought me back to the daily reality of the previous day's accumulated trash (plus some big waves):





















The Peconic Land Trust owns a half-mile of frontage on Reeves Beach. Here's one of their signs, with garbage strewn at its base. Here's a close-up of the sign.
