At the far end of my run is this amazing footbridge near the top of the bluff. What's amazing is that they were allowed to build it at all - as you can see it's not just in the Erosion Control Hazard Zone, but actually causing coastal erosion. It belongs to the Friar's Head Gold Resort - which is a pretty amazing place, mainly because the Town of Riverhead allowed it to be built in what was effectively Long Island's Yosemite.
On the nearby beach I found these abandoned shoes
and lots of trash
