At first glance there was relatively little fresh trash yesterday morning but then I discovered a lot in a patch just behind the dune-line. People seem to think it helps to throw it back there (out of sight) but it just makes it much more difficult to collect (ticks, poison ivy, thorns etc).
The beach west of Roanoke Point in Riverhead, Long Island is magnificent - but in trouble. In this blog I document the good, the bad and the ugly.
